Mass balance is a certification mechanism that allows fair trade products to be made using fair trade and/or non-fair trade raw materials.
Kaoka® chocolates are made in a segregated way: this means that in our chocolates, or more precisely in our cocoa paste and cocoa butter, there is only the cocoa that we buy in fair trade from our producer partners.

NacionalMade from Nacional cocoa beans from Ecuador, this dark chocolate with 80% cocoa offers an incredible aromatic richness mingling an intense cocoa taste and subtle citrus aromas (lemon-orange), fresh fruit (apple-pear) and dry fruits (almonds-hazelnuts).
At Kaoka, we do not standardize the taste of our chocolates. The aromas of our chocolates can therefore vary depending on the harvest, the seasons, etc. Thus, depending on the production, you may also be lucky enough to smell beautiful floral notes (jasmine-rose), characteristic of Ecuadorian cocoa.
