Recipe description

How about making your own little filled eggs for Easter this year? Here is a vegan recipe for dark chocolate eggs with a delicious grated coconut filling.

No need to use the oven, easy and quick to prepare, it’s perfect for an afternoon of cooking with the family and children.

At Kaoka, it’s impossible to make them without a few “mysteriously” disappearing before we even get to the official tasting… We bet you’ll find it hard to resist too!

Ingredients

  • 100g grated coconut
  • 4 tablespoons of coconut sugar
  • 100g of coconut milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • 200g of 72% Ecuador Kaoka dark chocolate

Tip

For an attractive Easter-themed presentation, make bite-sized pieces the size of a real egg and arrange them in an egg box with a little edible straw.

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix 100g of grated coconut with 4 tablespoons of coconut sugar, 100g of coconut milk and vanilla extract (add to the desired taste).
  2. Form eggs with the palm of your hand and place them on a tray in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, melt 200g of chocolate.
  4. Using a fork, dip the eggs into the melted chocolate. Leave them to dry on baking paper.
  5. For an attractive Easter-themed presentation, arrange them in an egg box with a little edible straw.
