This exciting program has been made possible thanks to the DeveloPPP program of the German development cooperation!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Le projet SEQUA au P\u00e9rou\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VB4onDfebBI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This project has multiple objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strengthening<\/strong> production capacities<\/li>\n<li>Developing infrastructures for growers<\/li>\n<li>Promoting <strong>agroforestry cultivation<\/strong> and<strong> soil restoration<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Innovation<\/strong> and <strong>research<\/strong> work<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encouraging the exchange<\/strong> of experiences between growers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Promising first results<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Today more than 400 growers have already benefited from training in soil restoration and agroforestry cultivation techniques.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several infrastructures have also already emerged, such as the composting facility used in the major campaign to restore soil deteriorated by the cultivation of coca.<\/p>\n<p>New equipment has been added to the current laboratory, which will allow the production and tasting of cocoa masses, <strong>essential for our quality control<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Other upcoming actions<\/h3>\n<p>The various initiatives are spread over the entire duration of the project. <strong>Research work on the fermentation of cocoa<\/strong> is set to begin shortly in partnership with the University of Tingo Maria in Peru.<\/p>\n<p>Every day, KAOKA is committed to enabling growers to increase their yields, while making sure to perfect the taste of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaoka.fr\/en\/our-fair-trade-organic-chocolates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chocolates<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaoka.fr\/en\/areas\/peru\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more about the Peru program<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In our cocoa program in Peru, we are currently leading a major project for the sustainable development of aromatic cocoa.
